Fresco Logic to Showcase SuperSpeed USB 1080p Consumer Application at IDF Beijing 2011

WHAT: Fresco Logic will showcase its latest developments in USB 3.0 for 1080p High definition video applications.

USB3.0 1080p Webcam Demo:  
This is the world’s first demonstration of USB3.0 in 1080p HD webcam in a consumer application; a joint effort between Intel and Fresco Logic. The proof-of-concept is based on 2nd generation Intel® Core™ processor family (Sandy Bridge) with Intel® Quick Sync Video for encoding and Fresco Logic’s USB3.0 Webcam Controller technology.

Real-Time Video Streaming Demo:
This new demonstration shows real-time streaming of uncompressed 1080p HD content at 30 frames per second (FPS) from a SuperSpeed webcam. The camera pairs Fresco Logic’s camera controller with consumer-grade sensor and optics. The camera is plugged into a laptop currently available in the market, powered by a Fresco Logic Host controller chip.

WHERE: Intel Developer Forum (IDF) at the China National Convention Center (CNCC) in Beijing, China.

USB3.0 1080p Webcam demo will be hosted at the Advanced Technical Zone by Intel Corp.

Real-time video streaming demo will be hosted by the USB-IF and located inside the SuperSpeed USB Community.
